What You’re Binging: The Best TV Shows to Watch Now
Between Netflix, HBO, Hulu, Disney + and (so much) more, there’s never been more amazing television shows available – or more time to sit on the couch and enjoy them. But what to watch? We polled our residents around the country on Facebook about what they’re binging right now to find out.
“Atypical” (Netflix)
This Netflix series follows a teenager on the spectrum’s quest to find romance. Says one of our residents: “It is at times funny, at times heart-warming, and at times a little sad but overall great so far.”
“La Casa de Papel” (Netflix)
One of our residents calls this Spanish heist drama “brilliant.” And better yet – Part 4 of the series was just released.
“Breaking Bad” (Netflix)
This oldie-but-goodie is definitely a must-watch for those who haven’t seen it. As one resident put it, it’s a “fascinating look at how easy [it is] to be corrupted. Great character studies, Fab acting.
“Pandemic” (Netflix)
This (incredibly prescient) docuseries is “inspiring and scary in equal amounts” according to a resident. Watch if you dare…
“Marcella” (Netflix)
A “classic British whodunit,” this series is perfect for murder mystery addicts.
“Derry Girls” (Netflix)
A charming show for anyone who needs a laugh right now (don’t we all?).
“Ozark” (Neflix)
Several people mentioned they were binging the third season of this family drama, which was just released.
“Tiger King” (Netflix)
We’re sure we’re not the first to tell you to watch this completely unhinged docuseries, which covers feuds between tiger owners, con men, polygamy, a cult, amputation, and much, much more. As one resident puts it, “it’s a wild ride from start to finish.”
“Raven’s Quest” (Apple TV+)
For anyone missing “Silicon Valley,” this comedy series focuses on the drama of another type of nerds – those who work in a video game design office.
Self-Made (Netflix)
Octavia Spencer stars in this inspiring series about the life of Madame CJ Walker, the first female self-made millionaire in America.
