Cartier’s Debuts New Space-Inspired Collection at Hudson Yards
A piece of jewelry from Cartier is always special; a limited-edition collection is out-of-this world exciting.
So it's only fitting that Cartier's latest collection – Les Galaxies de Cartier– was indeed inspired by the wonders of the cosmos. And for the next month until April 14, the only place in North America where it is available for purchase is Hudson Yards.
As Cartier describes the collection, "It is not about a destination, or conquest, but a discovery of the tension between heaven and earth, the infinitely large in contrast with the infinitely small. The universe offers Cartier the total fantasy of its colour, movement, atomic phenomena, and its particles."
The collections consists of four separate designs – "The Alignment of the Planets," "Fracteal Meteor," "The Earth's Lights" and "Trembling Stars"– with a number of different pieces within them, including bracelets, rings, earrings, necklaces, a handbag, and even a clock. Each piece is made from only the finest materials like Tahitian pearls, yellow sapphires and metaquartzite, a metamorphic rock that is being used for the first time in Cartier jewelry.
Stop by the Hudson Yards Cartier location to try them out and purchase. Prices available upon request.
