Corner Bistro to Open Midtown Location
Corner Bistro – the 60-year-old bar and burger joint that bills itself "the last of the bohemian bars in West Greenwich Village" – is about to get even bigger. The legendary spot just announced they'll be opening up a new location in Gotham West Market on 11th Avenue in Manhattan this summer, according to Eater. No word on whether they will be situated in a corner of the market or not.
This is the second food hall location for the restaurant – which opened another spot in the Williamsburg North 3rd Market last summer – and the fourth location overall; it also has a storefront in Long Island City.
The restaurant has not released its menu yet, but no doubt it will offer its classic Bistro Burger, Chili Burger, Chili Burger and Hamburger, as well as a selection of classic beers.
What will definitely be different are the hours; Corner Bistro is open until 4:00 AM in the Village, and 2:00 AM in Long Island City, whereas Gotham West Market closes for everyone at a much more respectable – though perhaps less fun – 10:00 PM. [Eater]
