Three Fun Ways to Watch the Summer Olympics
Every four years, we revel in the thrill of sportsmanship, fierce competition, and this year—stunning fashion! If you're looking to elevate your Summer Olympics viewing experience, here are three exciting ways to watch.
The ‘Backyard’ at Hudson Yards
Hudson Yards 30-foot big screen outdoors is the perfect place to come together with friends for screening all the biggest sporting events (from the Preakness to all the Playoffs, it’s the place to be). And what’s bigger than the Olympics? Gather with some friends at the first-come, first-serve-for-seating big screen and watch all manner of Olympic events all the way through the Closing Ceremonies. See the full schedule of events HERE.
Watch with Alex Cooper
Alex Cooper’s podcast “Call Her Daddy” has become a global phenomenon with millions of listeners and headline-making guests. So it’s no wonder that NBC tapped the star to host a first-of-its-kind picture-in-picture watch party. With her signature style, Cooper, who will be joined by soon-to-be-announced special guests, will regale viewers with her take on some of the most high-profile Team USA events at the Olympic Games Paris 2024, including soccer, gymnastics and basketball. The Watch with Alex Cooper interactive program will feature Cooper and friends live in a picture-in-picture view sharing their thoughts and insights on the Olympic events and answering questions from fans on social media in real time.
Yes, you can watch from your couch, but we suggest having your fellow ‘Call Her Daddy’ fans over and turning it into an Olympics viewing party.
Watch on the Silver Screen with AMC
Another first-of-its-kind viewing party, NBC has partnered with AMC Theaters across the country to host Olympic watch parties on the big screen. Through the Closing Ceremonies, fans can watch a variety of Olympic events in their local theater with friends (or even rent out a theater for an exclusive viewing experience). Bonus: AMC Theaters will be selling red, white and blue slushies during the Olympic season. USA! USA!
