Jeff Bezos on the Hunt for New Manhattan Pad
Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos is reportedly on the hunt for a new apartment – and no surprise, his budget isn't small.
The New York Post reports that the 'Zon founder has been scoping out $60 million pads at 220 Central Park South, the Robert A.M. Stern building on Billionaire's Row that made headlines earlier this year when hedge funder Keith Griffin paid a record $238 million for an apartment there in what was the most expensive home sale in U.S. history. Other notable buyers in the building include musician Sting and his wife Trudie Styler.
If Bezos does buy himself a new pad, it would not be the first his first purchase in New York; he also has four condos at the nearby Century building at 25 Central Park West, according to the Post. Not to mention quite a few other holdings in Seattle, Beverly Hills and Kalorama, D.C. (the same neighborhood the Obamas, and Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner call home).
TBD on whether or not Bezos actually buys another place in New York – or if he decides against it à la Amazon in Long Island City.
