Five Fun Summer Concerts for your Next Weekend Getaway

Switfy or not–there are plenty of other concerts to rock out to during the summer concert tour season. We’ve paired five of our favorite tours with local hotels. Book a room, see the show and make a weekend trip while exploring these cities.

Janet Jackson in West Palm Beach (July 18)

OG Janet fans know it’s “Miss Jackson if you’re nasty.” The absolutely iconic Miss Jackson is on tour this summer, so dust off those dance moves and get ready to sing all night with your girlfriends who still remember buying their very first Janet Jackson cassette tape.

Stay: Apple TV+’s new show “Palm Royale,” has everyone looking back to the beach towns 1960s heyday. But the ritzy Florida town is having a modern-day renaissance worthy of a weekend getaway. Olivio Rodgrido in Washington, DC (July 20)

The pop princess lands in the nation’s capital mid-July for a fun night at Downtown DC’s Capital One Arena. Get ready to dance and sing the night away with her instant classics from her first two albums.

Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco (Aug 9-11)

The wildly popular Lollapalooza tour is back for a new generation with acts like Megan the Stallion, Skrillex and Blink-182 all sharing the stage. Dozens of musicians will be in Chicago for the four-day festival. Here’s to revisiting your youth and making new Gen Z music festival-loving friends.

Pearl Jam in New York City (Sept. 3-4)

Eddie Vedder and co are still going strong with Pearl Jam filling out iconic concert venues like Madison Square Garden. The guys will be in NYC in early September to help you close out your summer of concert-going.

Stay: The trendy ACE Hotel brand has an outpost just a 10-minute walk from Madison Square Gardens. Grab some coffee from Stumptown Coffee Roasters Cafe in the hotel (or cool cocktails are also on offer) before heading over to jam out all night.
