You're Never Too Old for Camp at Hudson Yards

Planning weekend fun can be challenging for families, especially when the weather gets frosty. It’s not always easy to find a spot that pleases everyone.
Enter Camp, an immersive-experience store like no other that is opening at Hudson Yards in November. At its heart, Camp is a toy store, with games, puzzles and books for kids of all ages, as well as stylish gifts and goods for parents. But there’s also a lot of activities at Camp, including a canteen stocked with drinks and treats, plus dedicated space for crafts, performances and other interactive experiences.
“These days you can have anything delivered to your house. We made Camp about so much more than buying—there’s a sense of discovery, independence, and play,” Camp CMO Tiffany Markofsky Speyer said, “And it’s all created with parents and kids in mind.”
The Hudson Yards store is an homage to New England sleep-away camps and is designed to spark nostalgia in anyone who spent summers away. The 6,000-square-foot space features a retro Bronco truck, climbing tree, ant farm tunnel, musical wooden dock, and slide that travels between different cabins. Completing the look is a projection wall of the waterfront.
